Managing The Physical Health Care Environment
The health care administrator is the person that hospital staff members look to for guidance when it comes to the business side of health care. The health care administrator manages short-term health care goals, keeping in mind long-term strategy; manages patient care through efficient documentation, communication and team building; promotes methods of maximizing value, looks for a competitive advantage and develops policies regarding record keeping, filing procedures and staff organization. This course discusses the role of an effective healthcare leader, addresses the importance of a highly reliable health care environment, and addresses the significance of driving efficient operation in the health care facility.
